Why we endorse TGL

Meet four honorable advocates sharing their perspectives on why they endorse TGL.

Will Conley

Hays County Commissioner, Texas
At first I was a skeptic when I was introduced to the idea of TGL. But I decided to listen to my friends and to go overseas on a study trip to Almedalen Week. I was blown away by the atmosphere and the close up conversations I had with all kinds of representatives. I realized it was a total match to my own values and ideas of bringing all kinds of people together. It’s the only way for the future.

Steve Adler

Mayor of Austin, Texas
I am a strong advocate to the concept and I am proud of the fact that the very first TGL ever will be held in Austin in 2018. I encourage individuals, businesses, NGO:s and others to come together to make this a venue for all listeners with ideas. I´ve visited Almedalen Week in Sweden and it was amazing to see how people actually listened to each other, talked over the invisible boarders and was focusing on growth and progress.

Niklas Nordstrom

Mayor of Lulea, Sweden
TGL Global is a tool to change the world and it is inspired by Almedalen Week in Sweden, which is my most important week during the year. It´s when I grew my network, it´s when I listen to others ideas, it´s when I find new solutions and collaborations. People coming together to make change is the answer to the future and I love being a part of it. TGL should be an arena for every city or country in the world.

Reverend Jesse L Jackson

Civil rights activist and founder Rainbow/PUSH
I visited Almedalen Week in 2011 and I instantly knew that i had found something that should be spread all aver the world. I truly believe that TGL Global is exactly what the world of today needs. More of listening and more of sharing, to keep hope alive. Believe me, I know. You should organize a TGL in your city.
