Peter Dahlen

Global Board Member (Ex Officio) & Chair USA Advisory Council

Peter R. Dahlen is the Managing Director of the American Chamber of Commerce in Sweden and a Director of The European Council of American Chambers of Commerce (ECACC). He is also a regular lecturer at the Stockholm University Law Faculty on U.S. law and public policy. After moving to Sweden, Peter was named to the position of General Counsel at VSMarket, and subsequently the Director of Business Development and Public Affairs at TransLegal. Previously, while in the U.S., Peter served as a Senate Judiciary Committee Counsel to then Senator Joseph R. Biden, Jr. and provided legal and legislative advice to Senator Biden on a wide range of subjects. His portfolio included intellectual property, criminal law, privacy, election and campaign finance law, Internet crime and security, and critical infrastructure protection. Originally from Delaware, Peter has worked on several political campaigns, including Senator Biden's 1996 campaign. He received his legal education in the United States at The Catholic University of America and a Master’s in European Intellectual Property Law from Stockholm University. Silky Malik

Vice President, Strategy & Development, Owlfa, LLC

Silky co-hosts the talk radio show Coming to America, which explores immigration issues and other issues relevant to Houstonians. In 2017 Silky ran for the US House of Representatives in Texas’ 2nd District, and continues to be involved around Houston. She has previous experience at MD Anderson Cancer Center where she worked in cancer research and conducted community outreach programs at LBJ hospital. A native Houstonian, Silky has bachelor’s degrees in psychology and sociology from the University of Houston, and an MBA from the Texas A&M school system.

Ben Ramirez III

CEO, Cogitare Global, USA

Ben’s expertise is in assisting the transformation of local companies into global competitors.  Ben manages the Foreign Trade Zone of Central Texas with member companies’ annual exports totaling $250-$500 million.  He was appointed to the Texas Camino Real District Export Council by U.S. Secretary of Commerce Penny Pritzker.  He is a board member of CleanTX, the economic development and business association for clean technology.  He also serves on the board of Austin Sister Cities International.  Ben is an entrepreneur advisor with Tech Ranch and is Vice President of the World Affairs Council of Austin and Executive Director of the Center for Global Trade.  His experience includes managing political campaigns in Michigan, Ohio and Texas.

Martin Tyson

Founder & CEO, High 5 Inspirations, USA

Martin is a serial entrepreneur with over 25 years of business leadership experience. He has founded multiple businesses in several industries including: Recruiting/staffing, online gaming, retail/restaurant, and mobile apps.  He is a mentor, coach and judge in the Austin start up community and is active in promoting entrepreneurism to disadvantaged groups such as foster children.  He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics from the University of Texas and is a graduate of Culver Military Academy.
